Privacy Policy

MoodSpark · Effective 2 October 2026

The short version

Your moods, notes, and quotes stay on your device. The only data that leaves it is an anonymous purchase record, used to keep subscriptions working. It is not linked to you and is never used for advertising or tracking.

What we store, and where

Your quiz result, mood check-ins, streaks, favorites, reflections, and settings are stored only on your device (and in your device backups, which you control). MoodSpark has no servers and no accounts, and your personal content is never transmitted to us or anyone else.

The one exception is purchases: if you buy MoodSpark Plus, the purchase is processed by Apple, and an anonymous purchase record (purchase history plus a random app-generated ID; no name, no email, no content) is shared with RevenueCat, our subscription-analytics provider, so we can understand revenue and subscription health. This data is not linked to your identity and is never used for advertising or tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Apple Health

If you turn on "Save to Apple Health", each mood check-in is written to Apple Health as a State of Mind entry. This is optional, write-only (MoodSpark never reads your Health data), handled entirely by Apple's HealthKit on your device, and governed by Apple's privacy policy. You can revoke access anytime in Settings → Health.

Siri, widgets & Shortcuts

Mood logging and quotes offered through Siri, Spotlight, widgets, and Shortcuts are processed by Apple's on-device frameworks. MoodSpark receives no information about your Siri usage.

Purchases

If MoodSpark offers optional in-app purchases, payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Children

MoodSpark does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only data collected is the anonymous purchase record described above.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
